By accessing or using the Logos X desktop application and related services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Logos X (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Description of Service

Logos X is a desktop application that uses artificial intelligence to transform PDF documents and YouTube video content into structured educational courses. The Service includes a free tier (using your own AI API keys) and a paid pay-as-you-go tier (using our cloud AI infrastructure). Features include AI-generated lessons, quizzes, study guides, text-to-speech audio tips, and document highlights.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian’s permission to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

4. Accounts and Registration

Certain features of the Service require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as needed. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

• Share your account credentials with third parties or operate multiple accounts
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service
• Resell or commercially redistribute generated course content without permission

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate educational content. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, errors, or omissions. The Service is intended as a study aid and supplement to your learning, not as a replacement for professional instruction, textbooks, or authoritative sources. You should independently verify any information that is critical to your academic or professional work. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.

10. Data Storage and Local Processing

Logos X is a desktop application. Your documents, generated courses, and learning progress are stored locally on your device. When using the free tier with your own API keys, your content is sent directly to the AI provider you configure. When using the paid tier, your content is processed through our cloud infrastructure. The Service integrates with third-party services including AI providers (OpenAI, DeepSeek, Google, etc.), YouTube (for video transcripts), Stripe (for payments), and Auth0 (for authentication). Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LOGOS X, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Logos X and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the application. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Locally stored data remains on your device and is not affected by account termination.

16. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.
